Exll was a hard rock garage band that aspired to something bigger. A band was born and tried to describe itself in this gritty go-for-the-throat
indie recording. Based in Prince Albert, Exll was just three friends out of high school who wanted to be a heavy metal band. "I remember phoning around to try and get price quotes, and more often than not, people thought it was a joke!" Undeterred, they found a way to record by going DIY. Even at this time, recording was a difficult and expensive road for the inexperienced. Their first recording is very rough, but still captures the spirit of the band in 1987. The trio found the learning curve a bit much, and the recording ultimately suffered from all the things they didn't know. Still the 2 songs are strong and have a certain charm. Originally released as a cassette single in 1987 the band managed to sell out of the first run. The songs were transferred to CD in 2001. Available on a CDR in a single plastic sleeve.
